Organize & Value Ideas

We all learn ideas that we forget.  Forgotten ideas were not important enough to retain for instant recall.  Valuable information needs to be available at the moment we need it.  Since our recall memory capacity is smaller than our full memory capacity, we consciously and unconsciously prioritize valuable ideas for instant recall based on our own triggers of need and value.  We can control these triggers when we want to, therefore, we can control our information recall talents.

Starting Steps To Value and Organize Ideas

(1) Decide which information is important enough to recall when you need it:

(a) What type of information do you need to remember - facts, processes, or people?
(b) Who do you deliver the information to - teachers, yourself, family, an employer?
(c) How do you communicate the information - on a test?  verbally?  or part of an activity?

(2) How valuable is the information to my future?

(a) What are the benefits of remembering information.
(b) What are the costs and negative consequences of not remembering the information?

(3) How often do you need the information?

(a) Once.
(b) Daily
(c) Weekly
(d) On a work routine.
